The State Food Purchase Program (SFPP) provides funds for the purchase, transportaiton, storage and distribution of food to needy individuals who qualify as program participants.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) provides the distribution of commodities to needy individuals who qualify as program participants. SFPP and TEFAP supplements the efforts of the four food pantries to reduce hunger in Huntingdon County.
The State Food Purchase Program and the Emergency Food Assistance Program are funded by a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
