GED Preparation
Instruction is available to prepare individuals to take the GED test. Minimal to intensive instruction is given by a Pennsylvania State Certified Instructor.
Basic Literacy
Tutoring is available in reading, math, writing, and spelling for individuals to advance their basic literacy skills.
Enhanced literacy skills may be necessary for employment, job advancement, and self enrichment.
Jail Based Literacy
Jail Based Literacy provides GED test preparation classes to help inmates housed in the Bedford County jail to pass the General Educational Development (GED) test and prepare them for academic and vocational success upon their release from incarceration.
Remedial Education
Remedial Education is available in reading, writing, mathematics, and basic skills that will equip individuals to solve problems well enough to hold a job or to further their education.
Remedial Education is offered to individuals who need to enhance their basic skills for employment, job advancement, post-secondary education opportunities, or self enrichment.
Testing will be completed to determine an individual's literacy standing. Instruction will be based on each individual's grade level and need. Instruction may be either one-on-one or classroom type.
