Erica Castine, Youth Homeless Prevention Advocate for Center for Community Action (CCA), Blair County Office, recently met with State Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. of the 35th Senatorial District to discuss House Bill 127 (HB127) which, if passed, will allow homeless individuals to receive a free driver’s license. HB127 was passed in the House and Castine, as part of the Pennsylvania Legislative Advocacy Committee, was part of the discussion to get the bill through the Senate. “As a member of the Pennsylvania Legislative Advocacy Committee, I advocate for homeless youth across the entire state of Pennsylvania,” Castine said. She went on to say, “being part of the meeting with State Senator Langerholc is a huge homage to the work I do daily at CCA and in the community to make a difference for the homeless population.”
